Located in the Department of Community Mental Health – White Plains: Under general supervision, an incumbent in this class is responsible for performing administrative and staff support functions to implement the goals of programs within the Department of Community Mental Health. An incumbent may conduct special studies, prepare reports, make recommendations, concentrate in a specific area of the department, etc., and is expected to exercise independent judgment within established policies and procedures. The work may involve considerable interoffice and public contact. Supervision is not normally a responsibility of this position but may be exercised over clerical personnel. Does related work as required.
Required
A Bachelor’s degree and either (a) one year of professional or paraprofessional experience was in the delivery or provision of mental health services; or (b) one year of administrative support or staff experience, where a primary function of the position was in mental health, public health, public administration or health care administration.
Substitutions
A Master’s degree in Public Administration, Public Health, Health Care Administration or a professional mental health discipline, may be substituted for one year of the experience required above.
Special Notes
Education beyond the secondary level must be from an institution recognized or accredited by the Board of Regents of the New York State Department of Education as a post-secondary, degree-granting institution.

Salary: $60,825 - $75,815
