Located in the Department of the Environmental Facilities - New Rochelle: Under the general supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Environmental Facilities, an incumbent of this position is responsible for organizing, managing, directing, coordinating, implementing, and supervising activities relating to capital projects and environmental planning for water, wastewater and solid waste issues in Westchester County, working closely with Executive Leadership. Responsibilities include working with departmental leadership to develop a comprehensive capital program and prioritize capital projects within that program; working with the Department’s professional and engineering staff to ensure coordination of project work activities and timelines; coordinating and participating in capital project meetings at all phases to ensure that department projects are progressing in a timely manner; maintaining regular and clear communication with stakeholder departments, external partners such as consultants, and Federal, State and local agencies; and ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates and grant reporting requirements. Supervision may be a responsibility of this position. Does related work as required.
Required
a Bachelor’s Degree and six years of experience in construction management, project management, and/or capital planning.
Special Requirements
(1) Possess and maintain a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of New York; (2) Depending on work assignment, must meet standards of OSHA regulation 1910.134 Respiratory Protection, and will be required to meet Federal, State and local standards with respect to health and safety.
Notes
(1) The number of years of experience required in the minimum qualifications is based upon the presumption of full-time employment. Part-time experience will be prorated based on a 35 hour work week. (2) Verified and documented volunteer (unpaid) experience will only be credited when specifically allowed by the job description or examination announcement.
Special Notes
Education beyond the secondary must be from an institution accredited or recognized by the Board of Regents of the New York state Department of Education as a post-secondary, degree-granting institution.

Salary: $116,190 - $149,505
