Westchester County local jurisdictions

The Westchester County Department of Human Resources administers civil service for 121 local jurisdictions, including cities, towns, villages, school districts and libraries. In addition to providing advice and assistance to local jurisdictions in fulfilling their obligations under civil service law, we maintain roster records for approximately 15,000 local agency employees and certify their payrolls to ensure the employment practices of the local agencies under our jurisdiction comply with New York State Civil Service Law.
